We went to the salad bar and it was half empty and was told they didn't have staff to fill it. Our waitress came over with an attitude from the start but we were trying to have fun. Finally came and got out drink orders and than brought menus. We sat there waiting for about 20.minutes and was told that they were looking for menus and silverware. We got there at 6:20 and was seated immediately. We were celebrating our daughters college graduation and had made reservations for 15 at 6:30. It's convient to the Corn Palace (see my review about that establishment) but with this service I'd be hard pressed to stop in again. I could even understand, a little, if it had been busy, but that wasn't the case here. You could have the best food around but if the service is terribly lacking than my review goes way down. We had to take our glasses to the bar for refills and even after that she never came by other than to drop off the check. Once we got our food no one came to check on us. They were crispy but I felt the oil they were fried in could have been changed. Hubby got the steak sandwich, which was the special. That sandwich was delicious, especially with the thousand island dressing added to it. I got the Reuben minus the sauerkraut but add cole slaw. She came back with our iced teas and we ordered. We sat down and the waitress came with menus and took our drink order. Like I said, the restaurant was completely empty other than one elderly gentleman at the bar, drinking not eating. The food actually deserves 3 stars but the service brought it down a star. This really wasn't.Įmpty on Tuesday afternoon and it was right next door to Corn Palace 😁 I spent a night in jail once when I was young. Leaving photo to prove I'm not a competitor or leaving a false review. I'm leaving, but I will assure you, I will not be darkening their door step anytime in the future. My wife is absolutely furious with me right now for actually paying the bill. Service was slow, but our server Shannon was kind. No flavor and the biscuits were from the past.
I tasted her sausage gravy and biscuits absolutely incredible. No amount of salt and pepper could fix that. The ham tasted like pond water and the stuff they claimed to be hash browns? I'm absolutely convinced they were cooked using dish detergent. I joked and said, they don't charge extra.
